Governance

At launch, the core team will be largely responsible for the day-to-day governance of the project. Our intention is ultimately to move to fully on-chain governance expeditiously. Between Point A and B, several matters will need to evolve organically out of the community and its engagement.

Starting on Day 1, the community Discord will feature a governance channel. Any and all DAO members are welcome to make suggestions and discuss areas for change. If any particular idea gathers community support, a community member will draft a formal proposal and poll the community. Polls that receive majority support will be taken to Snapshot for a vote.

From there, we envision the ability to move quickly to delegate more and more decision-making to the community. This includes voting members into committees or boards directly responsible for particularly specialized functions, such as managing the venture process, making monthly/quarterly updates to treasury strategy, and having the community actively involved in product roadmap and feature decisions.

As the DAO matures, the core team will begin migrating to truly decentralized on-chain governance with input from the community. It is our hope that we’ve engaged an active, talented membership base which will help us envision and design a dynamic organization that far exceeds anything we could merely legislate at this time. We look forward to that process.
